Abstract
The X-ray structural analyses reveal that the title complex contains the Mn(saloph) [saloph = N,N′-O-phenylenebis(salicylideneaminato)] moieties bridged by single acetato groups in an anti-anti configuration to form linear polymer chains. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements (4.7-270 K) show the occurrence of very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Mn(III) ions with J = - 1.32 cm-1 and D = - 0.72 cm-1.
