Abstract

In this chapter, we describe the evolution and impact of the Stevens Math Circle Initiative, a mathematics outreach program founded in 2017 that organizes math circles for youth. The program model brings together three parties—math faculty, STEM university students, and community partners—to create undergraduate‑led mathematics enrichment programs. We discuss our model, including its benefits and challenges as well as an evaluation based on program feedback, data about participating undergraduates, observations, and interviews.
