Abstract

To date, the vast majority of scholarships awarded through the CyberCorps®: Scholarship for Service program are supporting scholars to pursue studies at the bachelor’s or master’s levels. This paper presents the results of a study which was conducted to explore the obstacles, challenges, and opportunities to support scholarships on the PhD level as part of the CyberCorps®: Scholarship for Service program. The benefits of this study go beyond the CyberCorps®: Scholarship for Service program itself in that it may provide guidance to other similarly structured programs.
