N2 - Our study explores a systems thinking view of a macroeconomic system that is increasingly affected by advancements in AI technologies. We examine the different relationships and interactions between AI technologies, economy, society, labor markets and the effects on the environment. We perform stake-holder analysis, identify shaping forces and system boundaries, and employ tools like CATWOE and Conceptigan analysis. We highlight multifaceted role AI plays in various industrial sectors and outline the critical need for policy designers to manage challenges related to compute resources, environmental impact, data privacy, and job displacement. By integrating economic principles, technological advancements, and social impacts in our study, we provide a comprehensive view of AI's influence on the economy. Our findings emphasize the importance of sustainable practices, regulatory frameworks, and inclusive policies to ensure equitable AI adoption.
