N2 - Over the last decade, the research community has expanded substantial efforts aiming at designing, agreeing on, and rolling out technical standards and powerful universal development tools that allow the rapid and cost-effective integration of specific experimental devices into standardized remote laboratory platforms. In this chapter, a virtual laboratory system with experimental hardware in the loop is described.
