Abstract
The mutual interference of direct sequence (DS) and frequency hopping (FH) spread-spectrum signals that share the same frequency band is analyzed in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise, and the error probability of the systems is obtained The concept of partial band frequency hopping is presented to improve compatibility, and is shown to be effective in reducing the mutual interference of DS and FH signals.
