N2 - The problem and the solution. Confucian philosophy has dominated Chinese society for more than 2,000 years, and it has had a strong influence in many Asian countries. This philosophy has a unique view of teaching and learning. This article identifies Confucian values and beliefs in relation to teaching and learning. Implications for developing human resources in China are discussed.
