Abstract
Direct measurements techniques can provide detailed information on the process and the development of the microstructure of the composite. The simplest technique which can be utilized to determine the mechanisms of mixing in a batch or continuous mixer is the injection of a dye into a transparent fluid and then to follow the distribution and the interfacial area growth of the nondiffusive tracer.
