N2 - Multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWNT)-based bimorph nanoactuators were synthesized and characterized. A thin metal film was deposited on the sidewall of MWNTs using a pulsed laser deposition method to form a bimorph nanostructure. The preliminary actuation was demonstrated using a fabricated bimorph MWNT. Thermal bending performance of the nanoactuator on a thermal stage will be further investigated by using a scanning electron microscope.
