Abstract

The collisions of protons with ground state acetylene molecules at 30 eV were studied using the electron nuclear dynamics (END) theory. The direct and charge-transfer differential cross sections were calculated using the minimal END theory. Projectile energy loss was analyzed in terms of transfer into target electronic, translational, and rovibrational excitations. The Schiff approximation was applied to introduce semiclassical corrections to the direct differential cross sections.
