Abstract

With the rapid spread of computational environments for large-scale applications, computational grid systems are becoming popular in various areas. In general, a grid service needs to use a set of resources to complete certain tasks. Thus, in order to provide a grid service, allocating required resources to the grid is necessary. The conventional reliability models have some common assumptions that cannot be applied to the grid systems. This paper discusses the use of Bayesian networks as an efficient tool for estimating grid service reliability.
