    Abstract

Image interpolation is a very important topic in digital image processing, especially as consumer digital photography outgrows regular film photography. From enlarging consumer images to creating large artistic prints interpolation is at the heart of it all. This paper presents a fast and efficient interpolation algorithm that produces good visual results while maintaining the computational cost close to polynomial interpolation.
