Abstract
The ground state and energy spectrum of the quasiparticle excitations of a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate was analyzed in the presence of a coupling field. The two components of the condensate were assumed to be in the chemical equilibrium. An expression for the ground state energy density was obtained as a function of the relative concentration of the two components of the condensate. The coupling constants for the two-body interactions, the Rabi frequency of the radiation field and the detuning field were also considered for the analysis of the ground-state energy.
