Abstract
The study of group support systems (GSS) for structuring and focusing the efforts of team working towards the goal is discussed. It is suggested that GSS help in evaluating the concepts, organizing, decision making and plan for action which makes the users to work across the globe. The features of the GSS process is that it did not include time for oral discussion of the concepts developed during electronic brainstorming. It is observed from the research that GSS users exchange more information and develop more creative solution while cutting project hours and cycle times by 50%. It is also suggested that one of the best ways to realize the potential of group support systems is to learn from its failed implementation.
