N2 - Mobile health constitutes an opportunity for people with multiple chronic diseases to support their healthcare requirements. This study explores the impact of mobile health usage on healthcare perceptions among people with multiple chronic diseases (MCDs)y or multimorbidity. We use nationally representative data from HINTS, the Health information national trends survey. Logistic regression was used to model population group differences. If they have a regular provider, people with multiple chronic diseases often use mhealth to communicate with them and monitor their health. They were more likely to monitor their health status via mobile health if they perceived their health status as positive. There is no correlation between the quality of care and the perception of self-efficacy and the use of mhealth. Communication with doctors via mhealth was significantly less important for people with MCDs. People with MCDs, however, were significantly more likely to use mhealth to track their health goals. People with MCDs may benefit from mhealth if it is designed to address their needs.
