N2 - Over the last two decades, studies of nonlinear acoustic effects for applications in medical nonlinear imaging, Nonlinear Acoustic Nondestructive Evaluation (NA NDE) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) have steadily intensified. Numerous nonlinear static and dynamic observations demonstrated that the macroscopic nonlinearity in a material is highly dependent on the amount of micro-inhomogeneous imperfections (defects) in the material that leads to high sensitivity of nonlinear material properties to the presence of a defect. High sensitivity of the Nonlinear Acoustic NDE (NA NDE) attracted the attention of many researchers and more than 20 different NA NDE methods were investigated. We suggest augmenting the acoustic framework and use the interaction between acoustic and Electro-Magnetic (EM) waves. Recently, the effect of microwave modulation by acoustically induced motion was investigated for breast cancer detection. We suggest applying microbubble for enhancing microwave modulation by acoustically induced motion. The large increasing of the microbubble displacements under the action of the acoustic radiation force together with enhancement of EM scattering on the microbubbles lead to highly increasing the sensitivity of the Harmonic Motion Microwave Doppler Imaging (HMMDI) method.
