N2 - Two different models are presented for the study of sloping bottom liners for landfills. The first is based on the assumption that the leachate volume is uniformly distributed over the liner. Application of the model for quasi-steady conditions is described and its behavior for liner conductivity approaching zero is examined. The second model is based on the solution of a partial differential equation describing the flow. An analytical solution is employed for steady state conditions, and a finite differences approximation is formulated for transient input conditions.
