N2 - Stochastic growth processes with exponential growth rates can be mapped to one-dimensional lattice gases interacting by two-body potentials. The interaction potential is related to the covariance of the stochastic process driving the growth rates. A temperature parameter is introduced such that the lattice gas has a well-defined thermodynamical limit in the n→ ∞ limit.
