Abstract
Distant propagation of signals from a powerful hydroacoustic source operating in the parametric mode was studied experimentally. Signals in the band 230 to 700 Hz at distances up to 1000 km were used. An enhancement of the acoustic field was observed, when the source was near a seamount. Comparison experiments with a monopole source resulted in an estimated of the frequency characteristic of the parametric source.
