N2 - Low probability of intercept (LPI) performance of a direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system is investigated in this paper; both chaotic and pseudorandom binary spreading sequences are considered. Several intercept receiver structures, including energy detector, synchronous and asynchronous, coherent and noncoherent, are examined, and the expressions of the detection probabilities are derived. The bit error rate (BER) of the chaotic CDMA system is also investigated in the paper.
