Abstract

In this work, the literature on mid-frequency vibration analysis of complex structures is briefly reviewed. First, low-frequency techniques that provide a foundation for mid-frequency analysis, or that aim to expand the spectrum of application into the mid-frequency range, are selectively reviewed. Then, specialized and hybrid techniques that specifically target the mid-frequency range are covered. Following the review of existing methods, comments on the state of the art and general conclusions are provided.
