Abstract
This paper considers applying the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion on the detection for space-time coded multicarrier CDMA (STC-MC-CDMA) systems in frequency selective environments. In particular, we consider the Alamouti's space-time coding scheme that involves two transmit antennas. To acquire the channel information needed by the MMSE detector, a subspace-based blind channel identification algorithm, which utilizes only the second-order statistics of the received signal to perform the channel estimation, is employed. The performances of the MMSE detector is evaluated with computer simulations.
