Abstract
Novel charge transfer complexes based on MCp2 (M = Co or Ni) and dicyanodihydrofullerene [C60(CN)2] have been prepared and the charge transfer in them investigated by UV-NIR, EPR and other spectra. The dicyanodihydrofullerene was reduced to the monoanion in the compound CoCp2·C60(CN)2·CS2, which showed a characteristic NIR band at 1016 nm.
