QCD sum rule calculation of the B→Dℓν form factors

Abstract

We calculate the full q2-dependence of the form factors f±(q2) describing the semileptonic decay B→Dℓν by a QCD sum rule based method. A systematic expansion around the zero binding limit forms the basis of the approach, which respects all the constraints of the heavy quark effective theory (HQET). We find that the form factor f+ is well represented by a monopole fit with f+(0)=0.703±0.036 and the pole mass mp=(6.0±0.5) GeV. The HQET normalization at zero recoil is well satisfied.
