Abstract

The DIII-D tokamak was analyzed with respect to a confinement regime in counter-neutral beam injected discharges. A steady oscillation was used in place of edge localized models (ELM) that increased edge particle transport. This allowed sustained particle control with no change to the edge particle profile.
