Abstract

Objectives: To construct and validate a measure that assesses knowledge of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). Study design and subjects: The new 20-item measure will be administered to approximately 200 undergraduates and 30 ADA experts to establish validity and reliability. Anticipated results: The ADA experts will obtain a significantly higher mean score than the undergraduates, which will provide an indication of the measure's validity. Reliability analysis will be conducted by computing Cronbach's alpha, with an alpha of .80 or more expected.
