Abstract

In QCD the amplitude for (Formula presented) factorizes in the large (Formula presented) limit or in the large energy limit (Formula presented) where (Formula presented) Data also suggest factorization in the exclusive processes (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) however, by themselves neither a large (Formula presented) nor a large Q can account for this. We give exact large (Formula presented) relations among isospin amplitudes for (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) which can be used to test factorization through exclusive or inclusive measurements. Noting that the condition for large energy release in (Formula presented) is enforced by the small velocity limit, (Formula presented) we propose that the combined large (Formula presented) and SV limits justify factorization in (Formula presented) This combined limit is tested with the (Formula presented) inclusive decay spectrum measured by CLEO.
