Abstract
I give an overview of the theory of hadronic B decays, focusing on three aspects: a) factorization proofs from the soft-collinear effective theory; b) implications for the phenomenology of B̄ → ππ decays; c) factorization in "wrong-charm" B̄ → D π decays.
