Abstract

In doped nanocrystalline Y2O3:Tb phosphors the luminescent efficiency was found to increase with the decrease in the particle size from 100 angstroms to 40 angstroms. This correlation was obtained from microstructural studies performed using transmission electron microscopy and luminescent measurements.
