Abstract
A new technique based on sound modulation by vibration by vibrations is proposed for the measurement of an acoustic nonlinear parameter in metals. Experimental results have demonstrated a large (more than an order of magnitude) increase in the nonlinear parameter accompanying the accumulation of defects.
