Abstract

CdSe/PbSe single quantum dots were doped into chiral-photonic-bandgap cholesteric microcavities for visible/telecom wavelengths. High-purity circularly polarized fluorescence of definite handedness from single quantum dots was observed for the first time because of microcavity spiral structure.
